Jean-Marie Cuoq se montre le plus performant sur cette épremière étape alors que Patick Henry, qui n’a pas participé à l’épreuve l’an dernier, a plus de mal à trouver ses repères. David Salanon pointe à la deuxième place et attend son heure. Eric Mauffrey mène le Trophée Michelin alors que Patrick Rouillard doit composer avec un moteur faiblard, qui a mal supporté l’abandon de son pilote au Limousin.
